Bathroom mural in Wimbledon, trompe Roman
Statues in stone niche
Entrance to Hall Mural for K.K. of Parkside,
Wimbledon. This is a stone arch view of Tuscany designed to enhance the
antiqued double doors which open out onto the livingroom. Originally Karen's
idea was to create a feeling of space in the narrow Hall by stone-blocking
the walls, then painting crumbling holes with a view of Italian countryside.
As the work progressed it developed architectural features, circular marble
panels, a monkey, falcon and siamese cat.
The right-hand wall as you enter the hall.
